Going To Iraq
This is my nephew in training in Kansas now for a few more weeks before they deploy to Iraq. He is the one shooting the gun. They're going over to build schools and stuff like that but have to be ready for combat as well. Sounds like they take off from Kansas in October to go to Iraq.
We miss him already... it is going to be a long two years without him.
We are so proud and honored that he is giving his time and his service to the great country we live in. Thank God for our military helping to keep the USA the safest and most wonderful country in the world. I am proud to be an American and I am very proud of all of YOU!

Although we disagree about whether he (and the rest of our military) should be there in the first, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your family.

Yup. I think many people disagree about being there and what-not, but still support our troops. I think that no matter what we all believe about being in Iraq or anywhere else, our support for our troops is really invaluable. Our President can handle the critics. He signed up for this! LOL! Our troops don't get to choose where they go, they just have to go. It is awesome that we can all stand together to support them, even if we disagree on other political issues.

I pray that God watches over your nephew and all the troops over there!
