New Year on the Way!

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. The New Year is on it's way!! I hope the coming year will be the best for us all so far in our lives.

The hustle and bustle of this season always gets me down. I don't mean down like depressed but down like run down and sick! I was not very faithful to my good food list and vitamins either. By the end of Christmas I was swollen, couldn't wear my rings, and had a nasty cold all over again. I also was more emotional than usual so that tells me for sure that I really need to stick to the plan. It really helps to regulate my moods.

We did have fun visiting with friends and family. The kids had such a blast with all the visiting and playing (and of course gifts....). We are trying to recover from it all now and get back to being well behaved after all the "Gimme's".

My immediate plans include getting back on track with my eating, drinking LOTS more water, and taking my vitamins as often as I should. ASAP!!!

Family Updates:
  • My sister's cancer is gone for now. The rate of reoccurance is 75% so chances are it will come back, however, if she is one of the 25% who remain cancer free for two years they consider her cured!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knock on wood!!!!!!
  • My mom starts Chemo on the 3rd. She is hoping she gets through it well and doesn't get sick.
  • My sister with MS is really hopeful about doing the EPC plan and getting better. As of now it is a matter of money... can't afford to buy the test as she lives off of disability and basically barely scraps by. So if you could all say a prayer that she can take the EPC test soon that would be really wonderful. We believe so much that she will regain health from this plan!!! Her hopes are that she will walk again.
  • My nephew has spent his first Christmas ever away from family. Sounds like though it is nothing like "home" in Iraq, the spirits were very lifted by all of the packages they have received from "Operation Support Alpha Company". He said that we are the biggest supporters his entire company has and everyone is really thankful that we're doing this. I am SO happy that we can do something to help... sometimes a person just feels so helpless.
I will post again soon. You all take care and have a great new year!!

Blessings,
Tarra

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I cannot believe it's been over a month since I last posted... Good grief! Things have been so hectic with the holidays.

First and foremost, I have TWO friends who have PCOS who have conceived while being on the EPC program. I want to say YAAAAAAAY and congratulations!!!!!!! I am so happy for you both!

I am doing well on the program. I have gained some weight now but then when I read the book, "A New Dawn" it says that about now many women have gained 24 pounds and I have gained less than half that so I am doing okay. A happy medium between a normal weight woman and a fluffier lady like me ~ hee hee... :) Just call me FLUFFY!

My honey likes me fluffy ~ thank goodness. He likes me not fluffy too though, so when I am done with pregnancy and can lose weight I will be doing that. He likes me most happy, however that is. Speaking of my honey, we just celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary on December 17th. How wonderful! He is the best husband on earth and I adore him. Here is to being 85 and rocking side by side in our rockers, blissfully happy. :o)

I have been forgetting a dose of my vitamin C almost everyday for the last month and boy I can tell. It is amazing how subtly the good signs may feel until you start to notice them getting less!! Then they're not so subtle anymore! I have had my kids taking vitamin C too in an effort to keep them healthy this cold and flu season. So far we're all doing pretty good. It is really important to me to keep us all healthy with my mom and sister going through cancer and needing to be ILLNESS FREE while they get treatment.

Speaking of them... my mom has been recovering from her second surgery and will soon start chemo and radiation now. She has had a lot of trouble with one arm because they cut nerves when they removed lymph nodes. She wants to go back to work but her doctor said she could get lymphodema, not to mention the germs, so he doesn't want her to.

My sister is doing well. She is very upbeat and positive. She finds out this week if she is in remission or not yet. If she is in remission she will have radiation on her brain and then be done for a while.

My nephew who is stationed in Iraq is doing good. He has begun to receive packages of goodies to distribute to his company and he is SO thrilled to be doing that. Operation Support Alpha Company is really going wonderful and I cannot thank those of you who are participating enough! This is not only for Christmas but also for the next almost TWO years that they will be there and really appreciate any care packages we send. You can read more about it at www.heartl.com/packages.html

I wanted to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and I hope your holidays are wonderful and safe. I will post again soon!
